Joyce was responsible for coordinating the launch of a LAN systems certification program for software developers. To accomplish this task, she needed to get buy-in and receive input from six labs in six divisions of the company located in three countries. She had an initial meeting, outlined (with the participants) the tasks to be accomplished and the coordinated dates based on very close-in launch date. She worked with an outside vendor, edited input for consistency, and maintained the project through e-mails and communication on the program’s progress.
