E-Learning Storyboard Script
|
|
Doing a storyboard is a common method by which
to lay out screens for an e-learning course. It contains a sketchy
picture of the visual, narration, text, graphics, animation, sound,
what’s next, and interactivity descriptions to help the developer
make the designer’s ideas come alive. The result is better
communication between the team members, faster throughput, greater
draft accuracy, and happier clients.

Narration: N1:
As a manager, are you
balancing the employee’s needs with company needs? Unfortunately
in today’s work environment, many managers are attempting to obtain high
performance by meeting the needs of the corporation and completely
disregard the needs of the individual. When this occurs, motivation
wanes. On the other hand, serving the needs of only the employee leads to
managerial derailment rather quickly.
Text: Flash the
sentence “The goal is to….two” on screen for a few seconds
after the audio is completed and before the next screen appears.
Graphics:
Animation:
Create FLASH Animation illustrating this concept while audio is read.
Have the scales portray “Employee Needs” and “Organizational Needs” on
each side as illustrated. To illustrate “needs of the corporation,” show
scale with organizational needs heavy (tipped down) and show employee
needs falling off and motivation wanes. Then show employee needs heavy
(tipped down) and show organization needs falling off leading to
managerial derailment.
